General Information
Known as the "happy MC" of the group, Yamato's eccentric style and voice earned him the position as last member to join Orange Range; Ryo is even quoted saying "There is power in Yamato's voice". Yamato was from Okinawa like the rest of the band, he was called "Piccolo" when he was younger (after the Dragon Ball Z character). As an artist, Yamato was influenced by the rap styles of Rage Against the Machine's Zach de la Rotcha, Jesse of RIZE, and Sakurai Kazutoshi of Mr. Children. The OR song "Champione" gives credit to Yamato, but the credit shifts with each release, leaving the original creator ambiguous. From the time "Hana" was released, Yamato did not cut his hair for five years. Yamato has two younger brothers and two French Bulldogs named Nana and Momo. IN 2014, Yamato formed a band named NEENEE with RyukyuDisko's TETSUSHI, MONGOL800's TAKASHI, and SEIJI; the band released their debut album "N1" in August.
